About 15 years ago we roughly filled a weird rust spot on the front corner of the hood.
It wasn’t perfect because it was meant to be temporary and I wanted to be sure the rust was cleaned up well.
I grinded out the old body putty fill, sanded any rust and painted the lower portion of sheet metal with rust oleum.
Waited a few days and roughened up the rust oleum and proceeded to body fill it again.
