After moving the car out of the garage so the primer could bake in the sun, the gas pedal broke at the weld.
This happened one other time and I only put a light tack weld on it while it was still in the car.
So this time, I removed it from the car which was more of a pain than I assumed. Then it was cleaned well and a nice thick weld was added so it would never fall apart again.
