Smoothing out lips on wheel well quarter panels

//Smoothing out lips on wheel well quarter panels
I planned on finishing the car without the chrome wheel well molding that was originally on the car. This made it more crucial to ensure it was smooth where the lip of the newly welded quarter panel met the inner part of wheel well.
The lip was welded in place so it was quite imperfect with a lot of wavy sheet metal and leftover spot weld bulges.
I grinded down all the weld bulges and tried to use a body hammer to smooth the high/low sheet metal spots out the best I could.

Then I roughed up the metal and put on several coats of body putty to smooth it out.

Then etched primer was added. It’s not perfect but is much better. {CAPTION}
